“Gateway to Izu” This road is a 6.1-kilometer sightseeing road running from the prefectural border with Kanagawa Prefecture (Mongawa Intersection) to Higashikaigan-cho, Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture (tourist spot “Omiya no matsu”). Although stretching parallel to National Route 135, this almost flat Beachline is much easier to drive than the national route with many uphills and curves. So it is a convenient road to avoid traffic jams as a shortcut and a time-saving road. It is the gateway to the Izu Peninsula area of “Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park“. With Mt.
