Onioshi Highway is a road along which you can feel different views of nature in each of the four seasons. Drive from Karuizawa, Nagano, to a rest stop in Rokurigahara, and you will see a magnificent view of Mt. Asama unfolding before you. If you drive down the straight road, you will see the Onidashien Park spreading out before you, a place of the art of volcanic rocks. In spring, the fresh green after the snow melts, a sensation of coolness on the highlands in summer, the colorful red leaves in autumn, and the silver world in winter. While driving across the “Joshin’etsukogen National Park” in each of the four seasons, please enjoy the pleasantness and harshness of nature and the road where you can feel various scenery.
“Joshin’etsukogen National Park” is an enormous park comprising highlands and mountains, including Mt. Tanigawa (1,977 m above sea level), Mt. Naeba (2,145 m above sea level), Mt.
